About
Energetic, gregarious, unpretentious and real are some of the words that describe Alexander. He is a Melbourne based Australian Lawyer, published author, entrepreneur, and an ex-TV personality. Alexander is a multilinguist. He speaks fluently in five different languages.
Bringing life and style together, Alexander's main goal is to always be true to himself, and to strive to be the best person that he can be. Alexander has over 20 years of business experience spanning over three countries. From Singapore to the world, Alexander has travelled the globe, gaining invaluable knowledge, and behind the scenes experiences which became the foundation for many of his successful business endeavours. At 24 years old, and immediately after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Curtin University in Perth, Alexander went straight on and founded his first company. Under his astute directorship, the business quickly rose to become one of the country's most profitable companies where turnover was in excess of a million dollars in just under one year of its incorporation. Alexander is passionate about life and with everything that it brings. While Alexander enjoys being fully clothed in designer threads and labels, he still has his feet firmly planted on the ground. He enjoys spending his private time unwinding on the glorious beaches across Victoria, catch up with friends or simply watch docudramas with wine in hand. TRUE CONFESSIONS OF A POTATO QUEEN Alexander's brush with fame first began in mid 2015 when he was approached by a publisher to write a business book. This book was initially pitched to be written based on Alexander's extensive business experiences but Alexander decided to write a compelling tell-all instead! This subsequently birthed his first book, 'True Confessions of a Potato Queen'. Taking almost a year off from work to research and to write, 'True Confessions of a Potato Queen' was launched in March 2016 at the 'Chillout' festival in Daylesford with resounding success. Available in both the paperback and e-book versions, 'True Confessions of a Potato Queen' is proudly published by VIVID Publishing. Alexander's book is also available on the shelves of all good bookstores internationally, online, and even available for a good read at any public library across Australia. TELEVISION WORK Almost immediately after the launch of 'True Confessions of a Potato Queen', Alexander caught the eye of television producers from Australian film production giant Matchbox pictures. In February 2017, Alexander made his first major TV appearance on the hit television series 'Date my race'. TV Producers revealed that Alexander was offered the lead role after they auditioned more than three thousand hopefuls. The brainchild of film giant Matchbox pictures, 'Date my race' was broadcasted on the SBS Australia network amidst heavy publicity, fanfare, and exponential ratings. What was packaged as a reality TV dating program where Alexander would get the chance to meet his life partner on national television, this instead became a roller coaster ride for him. Alexander instantly made headlines around the world for his controversial opinions expressed on the TV show. Overnight, media outlets throughout Australia and from overseas jumped in and sensationalised his opinions. This instantly set the internet ablaze. Throughout the second half of 2017 and in early 2018, Alexander was kept busy as he filmed for the highly acclaimed, and light hearted entertainment TV series 'Everyone's A Critic' (produced by film production giant Matchbox Pictures-NBC Universal). This nine episode series premiered 28 June 2018 on Australia's National Broadcasting Network, the ABC. 'Everyone's A Critic' was nominated and emerged finalist at the 18th annual Screen Producers Australia (SPA) Awards under the 'Light Entertainment Series Production of the Year' category. On the international front, Alexander filmed for 'Queer Britain', a British TV series produced by the British Broadcasting Network (BBC) in the United Kingdom. Alexander also filmed for South Asian audiences, presenting on the TV series 'The Glam Life'. This beauty and lifestyle programme was produced by the OZ Star digital TV network (Australia), and aired throughout India, on the YUPP TV International platform network. Diversifying his multi-talented skills in entertainment, Alexander hosted for the 'Miss/Mr Diamond International' beauty pageant organisation in Brisbane. He was contracted for 2 years running both in 2018 and 2019. MARRIAGE In 2018, Alexander accepted marriage to an Australian fan. This was after a whirlwind courtship, and a surprise marriage proposal. With a six-carat emerald cut diamond ring placed on Alexander's finger, the couple jetted off to the United States of America to celebrate their union. Almost immediately after the couple's return from their honeymoon, Alexander double-barrelled his last name, 'Montgomery-Jones'. This reflects the adoption of his husband's family name where at the same time, Alexander announced over social media that he was indefinitely retiring from all media work. Alexander made good on his announcement with his final public appearance as host on the live charity show 'Mega Concert' in Hobart, Tasmania. This charity concert raised money, and was in aid of the 'Royal Hobart Hospital' children's ward. Alexander hosted this concert alongside with co-host Sarah Roberts, an actress from the Australian hit TV soap opera, 'Home and Away'. RETURN TO UNIVERSITY As a surprise to many, Alexander returned to University in 2019 as a full time student to pursue a postgraduate degree in law. In October 2021, Alexander successfully graduated creme de la creme with a LL.B (First Class Honours) from Victoria Law School, Victoria University. He achieved an admirable GPA score of 6.8/7. The title of his 10,000 worded thesis was "An argument to legislatively broaden the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth)". Alexander subsequently continued with practical legal training at the College of Law. Again, Alexander graduated top in his cohort, scoring High Distinction grades across all major practice areas. ADMITTED TO PRACTICE AS AN AUSTRALIAN LAWYER In April 2022, after an intensive two and a half years of law studies and practical legal training, Alexander was finally sworn into office. He is admitted as an Australian Lawyer - as an Officer of the Honourable Courts in both Federal and State jurisdictions.
